The Transport Centre Complex is made up of two parts, the bus terminals and surrounding commercial areas on the ground level, and the two high-rises building for hotel and office. The goal of the plan is to channel the commuting traffic that transfers between bus and subway, to create a vibrant and welcoming local hub.
Based on the technical analysis of the road system and traffic technology, the optimal placement of the bus terminal should be at the west side of the site. Currently, the subway station is located on the east side. Naturally, a commercial street is manifested along the flow of commuting passengers that travel diagonally across the site. Positioned on the north and south corners are the two high-rises. The outer edges of the building are parallel to the road, distinctly forming the urban interface. The spiralling of the towers amalgamates the 45 degree intersection between the urban interface and the diagonal commercial street, sculpting the iconic Transport Centre Complex.
