Haiyan Administrative Civic Center
The design seeks to redefine the city center by incorporating squares, green spaces, and pedestrian bridges to organize various public buildings with distinct functions. The challenge lies in the constraints imposed by the existing built environment and the presence of multiple large public buildings with diverse functions, preventing the area from establishing a unified identity within the city.
To overcome these challenges, the design strives to craft an ensemble of urban space. This involves meticulous consideration of the boundary forms of each building, whether closed or open, and a thoughtful approach to the morphological relationships between adjacent buildings, aiming to either distinguish or synergize them.
